Been a long week!

Monday I helped K and 1st grade with their book wish lists for our WCE Book fair. That was a fun and crazy day! Of course Kaleigh had a really long list!

Tuesday I worked at the school and bought Kaleigh a few of the books she really wanted and a few that were recommended for summer reading!

Thursday was Field Day at school :) 30 events that were a review of all the things the kids have been doing for the year. Kaleigh did really well..so proud of her!

Friday Lauren and I had "girl" day! We had fun shopping and even treated ourselves to a little Starbucks! Then of course we had to eat lunch out! Kaleigh had an after school play date and they took her out to eat at Olive Garden where she ate lots of Fettuccine Alfredo!

This week was Teacher appreciation so Kaleigh and I had fun spoiling her teacher!

Quiet Week

School has TAKS testing this week so not much to do besides clean house and what fun would that be! Organized a bunch of cabinets and cleaned out "stuff" for the garage sale! YEA...only a few more days and all my "stuff" becomes someone else's stuff. Bought 4 bar stools today from a lady in our subdivision. Great price and they were exactly what I wanted. They look brand new. Lauren already tried them out and said they were great. Only 3 of them fit at the bar area and we have 4 so Lauren decided that the last one could be a time out chair :) Kaleigh pulled her 10th tooth on Sunday. 2 more are loose. She's going to spend the summer growing new teeth! Set up our home school crates for this summer and both girls are super excited. I love teaching them new things. Kevin's getting his new wood working toys set up in the garage and is excited to be able to do some work over here.

What a week!

Tuesday was Kaleigh's 1st grade play and it was AMAZING!! She did her speaking part so well and the show was BUGZ and just too cute! I was elected to the Exec PTA Board so had to march to the front of the room to hang out with the other great ladies elected. Yesterday I monitored Kaleigh's class while the teacher was out at training. 1 1/2 hours and they were great! Today was Ranger Science and me finding out that I have Bronchitis bordering on Pneumonia. Guess I'll be resting at home for a few days!

Weekend Ponderings

Kaleigh was out of school early on Thursday and then off for a 3 day weekend. We had Friday Girl day and played all day. OK I cleaned and the girls played, mostly outside. Was beautiful outside with a nice breeze. Kevin went to the wood show and bought some equipment to work on guitars from home a little. He also went back Saturday and well..he's there now. YIKES. Went to church this morning and the sermon was on listening. About that time it started pouring with lots of thunder and we think we should have been listening a little harder as God was trying to tell us something :) Another after Sunday lunch at Sushi Hana, our favorite place to eat. Lauren says they have the best chicken nuggets!! Kaleigh of course has to have her kids sushi combo and really does eat it with chopsticks! That's my girl!! Next week is going to be busy with Kaleigh's 1st grade play, VIPS workday for me at her school on Wed and Ranger Science on Thursday. So far Friday is open...SHHHhhhh ..don't tell anyone!!

Ballet for both girls today. I take Lauren in the morning and Kevin takes Kaleigh in the evening. Lauren is getting good at following the teacher and learning. She is growing up so fast right before my eyes. Today they did little mini recital practices with the parents in the room so of course I have to get out the camera and video tape them both! Being that I don't see Kaleigh dance ever week, I was so proud of her the last time I went to ballet. She is so graceful and looks like a mini pro :) Almost breath taking to watch her and know that she's not so little anymore! The girls cleaned their room and the playroom today so tomorrow is GIRL DAY all day!!

The beginning...Day 1

Day 1 of blogging. Figured it would be fun to get all this craziness documented :) Another crazy day. To the school most of the morning working on the 1st grade play props and running lines with the kids. Home after lunch to work on the fun chore of laundry. It seems to multiply on the floor as I take a load out of the dryer. Why is that....

Girls played outside after school. Great 80's day with a breeze. Gotta love that! Planted peppers and tomatoes a few weeks ago and they are not dead yet so must be doing something right. My massive garden is 2 large containers on the back porch. Nothing like the 2 acres I used to plant with my dad. Might be the awesome new watering can my sweetie bought me!
